Mumbai: Auditions for a young Chandragupta were held across India over a period of eight months but the creative team of the show wasn�t getting the right face. One day, a boy stumbled into the audition hall to ask for directions to some place and everyone at once felt that he must be auditioned for the lead role. Soon Rishi Raj found himself mugging up some lines that were in pure Hindi. Someone quickly gave him the character brief and handed him period costumes to change into. Within a matter of few hours Rushi Raj transformed himself into young Chandragupta Maurya and delivered his lines with such poise and elan that casting team was delighted. As fate would have it, Rushi also soon revealed that he has always been interested in acting and has participated in quite a few plays in his school. No wonder, the little boy is scoring well as little Chandragupt.
